Długi weekend - Qpa mięci / A long weekend - Memorial day

Nadchodzi pierwszy długi weekend w tym roku. Wreszcie. W sklepach sportowych i turystycznych pospolite ruszenie. Pojechaliśmy ostatnio kupić namiot i karimaty (wybieramy się na spacer po górach) i mało nas nie zadeptali. Rowery, kajaki, namioty, śpiwory, plecaki - wszystko szło jak woda.

Wybieramy się w najwyższe partie Appalachów: Great Smoky Mountains na granicy Tennessee i Karoliny Północnej. Wysokościowo takie nasze Tatry. Po moich przejściach z misiami w Tatrach trochę mi mina zrzedała, kiedy przeczytałem, że naukowcy szacują populację misiów w Smokies na 1800 osobników.

The first long weekend is coming. Finally. There are crowds in sport and touristic equipment stores. Last weekend we went to buy a tent and sleeping pads (we are going hiking) and we had hard time walking around the store. Bikes, canoes, tents, sleeping bags, backpacks - people were buying everything.

We are going to the highest parts of Appalachians: Great Smoky Mountaings on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina. They are about the Tatras height. After my adventure with bears in Tatras, I was a bit scared when I read that scientists estimate the population of bears to 1,800 in Smokies.
